Grave line tours

We were recently invited by Grave Line Tours to take one of their FUNERAL LIMOUSINE tours in Los Angeles, CA. Can you say EXCITED?! We are often the ones showing friends and family around town. To be invited to play tourist in one of our favorite fun hang out places was thrilling to say the least. Not to mention an opportunity to find out more about the tragic demise of The Black Dahlia. Now, if you’ve been listening to our podcast you know we are more into the PARANORMAL than TRUE CRIME. We like to stay on the side of the strange, spooky and mysterious. True crime is literally about crimes that are true; these stories often make us feel saddened and dreary. So we are MINDFUL of our exposure.

However, we make exceptions when it comes to FAMOUS cases because we do venture in the realm of POP CULTURE. Especially when it is LOCAL to us So Cal ladies. We set the date and went on the most GORGEOUS SUNNY LA day. We met our tour guide BLAZE at The Ovation in Hollywood, CA. Our tour time was 10:30 am on a Monday morning. Look PEEPS! Make sure to add a half hour to your drive time. We speak from experience. Even though we were outside the RUSH HOUR traffic time frame; we still ran into road construction, longer than usuals stop lights and TRAFFIC. Oh’ the price we pay to live in Southern California. Believe us, GIVE yourself plenty of drive and parking time. Tip Alert: EAT BEFORE or plan to have a meal after at one of the restaurants. You can get parking validation too.

Once we parked and went to the bathroom we met Blaze in the court yard area. Then we walked to the parking garage and loaded up in the limo. From there our 2 hour journey began through the Hollywood Blvd neighborhoods, to downtown and back. We won’t give away all the sensational details but this tour took us to places we have never been. Blaze was EXCEPTIONAL at driving and storytelling at the same time. Also, she has the patience of a saint. Blaze was sure to pause at each location long enough for us to get photos (out the window rolled down 3/4 of the way) and we even had a chance to pop out in front of the Cecil Hotel for a photo op. Check out this article from American Ghost Walks. Seriously, this TOUR was so much more than we could have expected.

The coolest thing was our friend Alex joined us as we advertised on social media what tour we were going on and the link. Alex has been a long time supporter of our podcast, Patreon and our Summer Spook Nights events. He is the owner of The Magic Oil Box and it was a lot of fun to spend some quality time with him.
