NOVEMBER 2023
Ok, how are we already half way through NOVEMBER? Are any of you avoiding the Christmas songs already on the radio like us? Can we just pause and enjoy FALL? Alright, nothing will slow down time or the capitalistic push of retail BUY, BUY, BUY! We just want to stay in the moment and be present.
This month we are focused on our FINAL market faire of the year at Stone Oak Manor on Saturday 11-25-23 1pm - 7pm in Oak Glen, CA. It’s a FREE event; so hit that TICKET link and grab yours now. We’re excited to support another wonderful historic property and our spooky vendor community.
We have an INSTAGRAM LIVE scheduled for Wednesday 11-14-23 7:30pm - 8:30pm PST to discuss The Hacienda by Isabel Canas. A beautiful story that takes us through history after the Mexican War of Independence. We positively, can’t wait to discuss this incredible haunted hacienda. Roni* will lead us in our discussion with our Mom Robin Heim whom is joining us again.
Oh and we are smitten with a recent full circle moment connecting some serendipitous moments. Thank you to our friends on social media that have tagged or dm’d us the Victorian Vogel on Instagram. After seeing a couple pictures, I swore that Roni and I had been there. In fact we had.
On an August Saturday in 2021 our goal was to head to the Howe-Waffle house in Santa Ana, CA. Welp! somehow on wikipedia or wherever I scooped the address on, my google maps took us to the wrong house. It’s a funny story of us walking around the house, taking pics, knocking on the door and calling the tour guides asking “Where are you?” Only to have a guy answer the door with a bottle of EXEDERIN in hand, asking if we needed help. Ummm….we were totally at the wrong house.
Now a few years later we not only connect the dots and say WOW we’ve been to this porch. Umm, turns out we met the new owner at a Glitterfest show too! Diana Vogel we are looking forward to spending this Friday Nov 17th at your Krampus Victorian Tea party.
We would be amiss if we didn’t say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our favorite gal pal twins Kiko and Kat Bailey too! We got to celebrate and dance the night away this past weekend with Kiko at The Monty Bar in Los Angeles. Sadly, Kat was not able to join us. We miss her so much and wish them both good health, joy and prosperity.
With that, we are planning to record a few more PODCAST episodes very soon. Until then, enjoy the Macy’s Day Parade and good food with family or friends over Thanksgiving. Please also recognize and celebrate Native American Heritage Day too. Stay tuned, Tamantha*
